I joined the History Faculty as a postdoctoral researcher for the Oxfordshire Health Humanities Project in March 2024. Before that, I completed my postgraduate study (MPhil and DPhil) in Medical Anthropology at the School of Anthropology & Museum Ethnography. Both my doctoral and current research focus on designing and testing different approaches to outcome evaluation, especially the ways to bridge the gap between (clinically and systematically defined) efficacy and individual experiences. On a broader level, I am interested in social and historical approaches to health, medicine, and care. My areas of interest are primarily the UK and Southeast Asia (especially Myanmar/Burma), and I am exploring novel theories and approaches to look at these areas in a global context.
